Boattrips
The Hotel Panorama is situated in front of Lugano on the opposit site of the lake. In 20 mins on foot or 3 - 4 mins by car we reach San Rocco, the boatstation, where you can take the boat for wonderful cruises.
The typical Grotti (Restaurants), the Custom Museum, delightful villages like Gandria, Morcote, the town of Lugano with her Mediteranean touch, are some of the sights of a really romantic boattrip in southern Ticino.

Sightseeing
Mte Bré and San Salvatore are the hills of Lugano (both about 900 m), you can reach them easily by boat and cablecar, as well as the Mte Generoso (1700 m) wich is situated near Capolago and by good weather it offers a fantastic view on the Monte Rosa-Alps (Matterhorn).
The Sighignola (1400 m) is the mountain near the hotel and the top is situated in Italy youcan reach the top in 25 mins by car. It's called terrazza d'Italia because of its shape high up over the Ceresio (Lake of Lugano). From there it's possible to get to the Lake of Come and come back though Como,Chiasso.

Hiking
The hotel is in a beautiful hiking region between the Custum Museum and Mte Generoso. It takes 1h30 to walk to the Museum and 1 h to Arogno.
Expert hikerscan walk up to the Sighignola and the Generoso.
There are further excursions combined with a boattrip.
Sport
Tennis in Campione, golf in Lanzo, riding in Lanzo, watersports in Lugano-San Rocco, the region is a paradise for bikers.
Museums
Pinacoteca Züst, Villy Favorita (The Tyssen Museum) or the Hermann Hesse Museum and the Museum of Modern Art in Lugano with its famous exhibitions such as Kandinsky, Munch, Chagall and more. (information office: www.ticino-tourism)
